  1. Casa Raia Bevilo

A blend of 90% Sangiovese Grosso, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Early summer, the careful removal of bunches of grapes reduces the yield per plant and increases the quality of the wine. The spontaneous fermentation with natural yeast, present in the vineyards, and an approximate two week maceration of the must contributes to the fruity character of the wine.

Careful evaluation of the intrinsic character of the young wine will decide how long the three varieties will stay in the barrels.

After 2 years the wine is blended and bottled. The wine is allowed to mature another 2 months in the bottle before it is ready to be enjoyed.
