Judith Beck 6 Bottle Mixed Case (The Pannobile's)

Price as configured: £0.00

Availability: In stock

The mixed case consists of the following wines Pannobile White and Pannobile Red.

Pannobile White: Once every year, the nine producers select their white wine as a potential candidate for the white Pannobile. The criteria is very strict; only perfectly ripe grapes from the Pinot varieties (Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc), and the indigenous Neuburger, that grow within the defined Pannobile vineyard sites, may be vinified. The winemaker can decide whether he or she presents a single varietal wine or a blend of these designated Pannobile varieties. The unanimous decision to elect the Pannobile wine is made in the final, decisive tasting. This is how a wide and diverse range of wines, that are clearly recognisable as coming from the same family, evolve with each having its own special individual character.

Pannobile Red (2010): 60% Blaufränkisch 40% Zweigelt . Dark ruby red with purple rim; Complex bouquet of red berries , blackberries and cherries, pleasant spiciness , dense and juicy on the palate with silky tannins, compact and elegant, lively echo and good ageing potential.

Details

The mixed case consists of the following wines Pannobile White and Pannobile Red.

What is Pannobile? The tools used to turn a wine to a Pannobile wine, are the eyes, noses, palates, brains and hearts of nine winemakers, coupled with the use of a pencil for that decisive "yes". A series of blind tastings result in those wines being chosen, that display regional typicity, personality and character, excelling it to Pannobile status. That's all! Pannobile countryside is situated on the north eastern of Lake Neusiedl in Burgenland. Here the grapes ripen for this exceptional wine. It is also where the Pannobile winemakers live and work; alongside many others. The vineyards are the top sites that fulfil the "best soil" prerequisites to become a Pannobile.

The Pannobile members are individualists; they run their wine estates independently, and don't meddle in each other's wines. The Pannobile forms a platform where they can come together; to collaborate, cooperate and close ranks, representing not only a wine or region, but rather binding a group of friends with an active social agenda.
