A 100% chardonnay (blanc de blancs). Dosage: 9 g/L

Vibrato is a tremulous effect produced by an instrumental or vocal note giving rapid variations of pitch. Its exact effect will depend on the instrument and the musician’s technique. As with other nuancing effects, vibrato will add a feel of expressiveness. The cuvée Vibrato stands apart in the Champagne B. Girardin range, not only for its rarity (like Point d’Orgue it bears a vintage) but also for its composition: it is a pure chardonnay (blanc de blancs) and is the result of blending grapes from two very different terroirs. The vibrations on the palate are due to the natural freshness and lemon-like aromas of the chardonnay, whereas their amplitude is defined by the terroirs of Vitry-en-Perthois and Mancy. Vitry produces a richer and more exotic resonance, whereas Mancy, with its limestone soils, add finesse and focus.

The saxophone has been chosen as symbol for the cuvée Vibrato rather than the more obvious guitar. The reason is that the modulation of the saxophone’s notes is given by the mouth, and this is where the cuvée Vibrato comes to life!
